New Book's Eve

As I publish every new book, it gets easier in a lot of ways. I learn from every release and I like to think that each book looks better than the one before. Well, THE HAUNTING SCRIPTS OF BACHELORS GROVE is my latest and I'm really, really proud of it for a lot of reasons.

First of all, I get to explain not only how I started writing for indie comic publishers, but my thought processes. I also print four of my scripts for THSoBG (one of which is in its original, unaltered form ... I also explain WHY it had to be rewritten) as well as the text story from issue one, "Cool Seductions." But what I think I'm happiest with are the three stories that comprise the back half of the book: "Where is Daphne? Where is Daphne?" "Sanctified," and "Sacrifices." I've never written mature horror before and I'm tickled with the process. Also, I worked with beta readers on these stories and their suggestions were invaluable. The book is 40 pages longer, as a result. So if your arms get tired, holding this tome up, you now know who to blame.

And of course, my Art Sherpa, Trevor Erick Hawkins, turns in another fantastic painting. Today, the book premieres officially and I'm excited to hear what YOU think about it. It's quite a departure for me, writing-wise, and I'm happy with the results, as were my beta readers. So when you pick it up, whether on Amazon or at one of my appearances, be sure to let me know what you thought. An honest review on Amazon and/or Goodreads would totally rock. :)

I worked past my fear to write something fresh, something outside of my comfort zone. That's how we grow, right?
